At Shalom Women Development Network, we envision a society where women are holistically dignified, empowered to reach their full potential, and live fulfilling lives. Our mission is to work towards developing, articulating, empowering, and advocating for holistic approaches and programs that promote women, youths and the vulnerable’s well-being and development.

Our History and Background

Shalom Women Development Network was established with a deep commitment to promoting the rights and dignity of women and girls. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to develop and implement programs that address the unique needs and challenges faced by women and girls in our communities. Our experience and expertise have equipped us to effectively advocate for women’s rights and promote holistic development.

Our Objectives

  1. To carryout grassroots women mobilization and movement formation.
  2. To develop capacity building program around thematic areas.
  3. Develop a grass root women community advocacy platform for peace in relation to thematic areas.
  4. To provide functional adult literacy (FALL) to women.
  5. To advocate for grass root women’s full involvement and participation.
  6. To provide psychosocial support to women survival of GBV.
  7. To start a women’s revolving scheme for economic livelihood.
  8. To provide youth women and elderly with relevant skills for improved household income.
  9. Promote leadership skill among children, youth and women as this is their moment.
  10. To promote primary health care at household level.
  11. To promote fundamental human rights and sexual and reproductive health rights with emphasis on women and children.
  12. To promote positive cooperation for development.

13. To partner with other stakeholders and international agencies in the field of youth, women and children’s development to advance service delivery.
